- Three rapidly spinning 4-foot long blades perched 33 feet off the ground on top of each light pole in one Belmar parking lot will generate enough electricity to power the lights – and then some! In addition, this provides an easily-accessible educational opportunity for kids in the metro area about wind power!
- Belmar has been named a winner of the prestigious environmental honor known as the Phoenix Award, which calls attention to innovative yet practical projects that bring blighted or abandoned commercial land back into productive use.
